overbid   (TTS Sound)

The overbid has 4 Senses.

• overbid
• a bid that is higher than preceding bids
• 先行する付け値よりも高い付け値

• overcall, overbid
• (bridge) a bid that is higher than your opponent's bid (especially when your partner has not bid at all and your bid exceeds the value of your hand)
• （ブリッジ）相手のビッドより高値のビッド（特にパートナーが全くビッドを持っておらず、自分のビッドが自分の持ち札の価値を越える時）

• 競る
• to bid for more tricks than one can expect to win,
• 一人が勝つことが予測されるより多い策略で入札する

• bid more than the object is worth
• その物の価値よりも高い入札
